Do I need Travel insurance for my Morocco trip ?

It is mandatory to have complete and current Travel Insurance which must include full medical cover. Morocco Journey Planner is unable to accept a booking unless there is in writing a statement of complete and current travel Insurance. We cannot recommend any Insurer, it is the traveler’s responsibility to undertake that task.

PASSPORT AND VISAS

You are responsible for meeting any visa and passport requirements. Information on visa and passport requirements can be obtained from your nearest Moroccan Embassy. All clients must be in possession of a passport valid for 6 months beyond their intended stay.

How do I book a tour?

Please contact us by e-mail or telephone as detailed on the Contact Us page. We will then be able to discuss and agree an itinerary that suits you, when you wish to confirm the booking . A deposit of 25% of the Price (or full payment for a booking less than six weeks prior to the start date of your travel arrangements) is required before we confirm a booking for a tour. On receipt of your deposit/payment in full, we will confirm your travel arrangements in writing. We reserve the right to change the Price, services or other particulars before receipt of your deposit/payment in full. Once confirmed, the Price of your travel arrangements is not subject to further surcharges or increases. It is essential that you provide passenger names (including forenames) as they appear on passports.

Payment

Payment can be made by electronic bank transfer or credit/debit card .
For tours where the final balance is not received in time we reserve the right to cancel the hotel reservations that will be re-booked, subject to availability, when payment is received. If the rooms are no longer available alternative options will be proposed and this may affect the price.

AMEND A BOOKED TOUR

Amendments to your booking are not usually possible within 30 days of the start date of your travel arrangements without incurring additional costs. It should be noted that many small riads in Morocco, with less than ten rooms, have up to a one-month cancellation policy and insist on full payment during this time-frame. Amendments requested by you, that include any hotel or riad cancellation within 30 days of the start date of your travel, may therefore incur additional costs. If you have made an amendment to your original confirmed tour, you may be liable for some additional costs and an administrative charge. For amendments made during a tour i.e. change of itinerary by you, there is no refund for any accommodations not used.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must notify us in writing should you wish to cancel your booking and the cancellation is effective on the date we receive your notification. The following charges are applicable upon cancellation:
  •  Cancellation 60 days or more before the start date of your trip, free cancellation and full refund.
  •  Cancellation 31 days or more before start date: – 50% of deposit cost.
  •  Cancellation less than 30 days before start date : not refundable.

Force Majeure

We may have to make changes to your travel arrangements in the event of force majeure.If we have to cancel all or part of your tour, in the event of force majeure, we will refund the cost of the part cancelled less any expenses incurred on your behalf as authorised by you but will not be liable to pay compensation to you.

COMPLAINTS

If you have any complaint about your booked tour, you must make it known at the earliest opportunity to your driver and/or our company local representative, who will normally be able to take appropriate action. In the case of dissatisfaction with any accommodation, you must report the problem to the accommodation management so that immediate action can be taken to remedy the problem. Should the problem remain unsolved a complaint must be made in writing to the Company within a reasonable period of not more than 30 days after the completion of the tour.

ACCOMMODATION

The hotels or riads (small guesthouses) listed on your itinerary are subject to your approval. Once we receive your payment, rooms are confirmed and subject to that hotel’s cancellation policy that is in line with our own. If you later decide to stay in another hotel we are happy to assist however you will be responsible for covering all extra costs and there will be no refund for unused rooms if the change is outside of the cancellation period. If you have a complaint about a hotel or riad it should be reported to and discussed with their Reception in the first instance.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

Our travel agency is not responsible for the acts and omissions of the service providers, while on your tour. Also not responsible for any loss/ damage / injury which may be incurred as a result of actions and omissions of others. We will not accept any responsibility or liability if you break the laws or regulations of Morocco, while on your tour. You acknowledge you are solely responsible for any goods or services you order, purchase or otherwise obtain, or seek to order, purchase or otherwise obtain, from suppliers, service providers, vendors or others in Morocco while you are on tour . You acknowledge you bear sole responsibility for ensuring you arrive to the specified tour meeting and/or starting point in Morocco at the specified date and time and you bear sole responsibility for your departure from Morocco.

TRIP GRADES AND AGE LIMITS

There are no age limits on Morocco Journey Planner tours, but you should be healthy and fit to travel .Your health and fitness level must be appropriate for the activities you plan to undertake. It is your responsibility to inform us if you have any major health issues which may affect your tour activities.We reserve the right to cancel your participation in a tour, at any time during the tour with no right of refund, if a medical condition or disability could affect you and/or the enjoyment of your tour companions.

Publicity

You give permission for Morocco Journey Planner to use images of you taken during the tour, without recourse to you and without compensation to you, for publicity and promotion purposes only, through whichever medium it chooses.
