Itinerary

Your trip starts when you meet your driver guide at Menara international airport who will take you to your riad inside the city of Marrakech. The city is a captivating place in which to begin your wonderful Morocco tour and your driver will guide you to see the most importants sights . (overnight in Marrakech )

We will take you in a morning guided tour of Marrakech "the Red City of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see all the sites with historical and cultural interest, including the Koutoubia Mosque ; the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia the only royal palace open to public in Morocco. Afterwards, we will walk through the medina alleys, getting a chance to admire all of the different artisans performing their crafts before arriving at the famous Jamaa El Fna square. ( Overnight in Marrakech )

On this day you will continue your trip crossing the impressive Tizi n’Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters, enjoying breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains along the way. En route, you will stop to visit the historic Telouet Kasbah, the former stronghold and birthplace of the powerful Glaoui family, one of the most influential dynasties in the 19th-century High Atlas region. (Exterior visit only) Afterward, you will visit the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, one of the most iconic and visually striking filming locations in Morocco. It has been featured in numerous international productions, including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and many more. (overnight in Ouarzazate )

You will continue your trip along the famous "Road of the Thousand Kasbahs" toward the town of Skoura. Along the way, you will stop to visit the impressive Kasbah of Amridil, a well-preserved symbol of southern Moroccan architecture and history. After this visit, your journey continues through the beautiful Rose Valley and the town of Kalaat Mgouna, famously known as the Rose Capital. This area is renowned for its rose-based products and its annual festival celebrating the rose harvest. Next, you will head toward the dramatic Todgha Gorges, considered one of the most spectacular canyons in Morocco. Its towering cliffs and unique natural beauty have made it a popular filming location for several international movies, including The Mummy. Finally, your day concludes in the magical Merzouga Sahara Desert, home to the majestic Erg Chebbi sand dunes, where your desert adventure awaits.(overnight in Merzouga)

On this day you will continue exploring the sahara desert by learning more about the culture of the berber people .You will see berber farms and fields ,as well as underground water channels and irrigation system. Next, you will discover the scenic Flamingos Lake, which attracts many species of birds during the spring, including falcons, desert sparrows, and more. Afterward, you’ll head towards the African village of Khamlia, an area renowned for its Gnaoua musicians. There, you can listen to their beautifully spiritual music and experience the rhythm of this rich cultural heritage. Following that, you will visit a nomadic Berber family. Sharing a cup of tea with them, you’ll be enchanted by their lifestyle, traditional tents, and the harsh desert environment in which they live. Later, enjoy a traditional lunch of Berber pizza—a culinary specialty of the desert town of Merzouga(possibly hosted by a Berber family, if available). Finally, you will be taken to your Morocco desert camp where you can take a camel ride into the sand dunes to watch the sun setting over the desert or relax at your camp. On this day, you will begin your spectacular journey toward Erfoud, a city renowned for being home to one of the richest and most extensive fossil fields in the world. From there, you will continue your adventure by navigating the lush and scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through forests of cedar, oak, and pine. Along this beautiful route, keep an eye out for the indigenous Barbary macaque, often seen roaming freely in the wild. As your journey progresses, you will arrive in Ifrane, a charming city known for its exceptional cleanliness,and called "The Little Switzerland of Morocco" by tourists. (overnight in Fes)

You will have a historical walk in the most preserved Medina in the world and the biggest urban area in Morocco, the old town of Fes. We will take you first in Fes Ramparts tour where we will visit the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter, The Bourj South from which we will have a beautiful panoramic over the Medina of Fes. The walking tour will take you through the narrow alleys of the medina where you will visit the Oldest University in the World and the beautiful Madrassas, the 11th century leather tanneries. (Overnight in Fes)

Your journey will continue as we drive south to stop at the ancient Roman ruins, Volubilis where you will have a historical BC walk inside the ruins. Next you will depart to the imperial city of Meknes to visit the 18th century Bab Mansour gate, the massive Heri es-Souani (granaries) , the Agdal Basin (water reservoir) and Lahdim square. Afterwards, Morocco Journey Planner will take you in a visit to the current capital of Morocco, where we will visit the Hassan Tower 1199 unfinished Mosque, the Mausoleum of Mohammed 5 where the two kings are buried and Kasbah Oudaias. Finally your driver will guide you to Casablanca to the impressive Hassan II mosque (exterior visit only) which is ranked as the 5th largest mosque in the world. (overnight in Casablanca)
